This moisturizer provides rich moisturizing effect by including skin-affinitive ingredients. Ceramides are major structural constituents of skin barrier and therefore important for skin water-retention. Hyaluronic acid is a component of skin tissue that is used in skin-care products as a good water-binding agent. Cholesterol is the natural constituent of skin barrier so it maintains the skin normal function. There is also petrolatum, i.e., vaseline. Petrolatum helps skin recover from damage, reduce inflammation, and protect skin against environment. It might be too oily for acne-prone skin.
However there is no antioxidant or sun protection content. This product may better serve as a body than facial moisturizer.
