This product is quite nutritious, full of moisturizing factors and antioxidants.
This moisturizer may be too rich for oily skin, with abundant jojoba oil content. The ingredient theobroma grandiflorum extract is creamy emollient butter which promotes skin suppleness and water retention, especially for dry skin. Another ingredient panthenol is a non-irritating, precursor form of Vitamin B. It can penetrate skin and transform into pantothenic acid (commonly known as Vitamin B5). Panthenol maintains skin water retention and treats minor irritation.
The claimed effective ingredient clove oil has potent antimicrobial, antifungal, antiseptic and stimulating properties. But it can also causes skin irritation and inflammation when used repeatedly.
Other beneficial ingredients include imperata cylindrica root extract (Cogon Grass), which is rich in potassium and therefore regulates the intercellular pressure and retain the water content in the epidermis. Moringa pterygosperma seed extract, which is a natural moisturing factor and UV sunscreen, is rich in vitamins A and C, and also has potent antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activity.
The product may also enhance skin regeneration. The ingredient vigna aconitifolia seed extract is proven by small number of studies to increase epidermal cell turnover. Also effective in the protection of the dermis from age-related breakdown as well as stimulating the fibroblasts to produce collagen. Under the same category the ingredient hydrolyzed lepidium meyenii root is said to stimulate fibroblast growth when topically applied at 2% concentration over a four to eight week period.
The fragrant oil content may be irritaing to sensitive skin type.
