isopropyl palmitate functions in cosmetics as a thickening agent and emollient. Given its high content in this product, it can potentially clog pores.
3rd ingredient
squalane is oil derived from shark liver or from plants. It is a natural component of skin and is a good water-binding factor. In addition it has antioxidant and immune-stimulating properties.
4th ingredient
glycerin transports water from the environment and from the lower layers of skin (dermis) to surface skin (epidermis). It softens the skin. Glycerin is a substance naturally present in skin which helps maintain the epidermis and prevent dryness or scaling.
