There are many good ingredients in this product which I will elaborate later for a modest price. BUT, I can say the same about the bad ingredients.

The fourth abundant ingredient denatured alcohol is the hazardous type of alcohol. It is not only extremely drying and irritating to skin, but also can generate free-radical damage. If listed as the first few ingredients which means the concentration is significantly high, it will be problematic for all skin types.

Then two ingredients down there is propylene glycol (PG). PG is derived from petroleum and used in cosmetics as solvents, surfactants, and wetting agents. It is used to enhance ingredient penetration and as a humidifying agent. It is easily absorbed through skin and is a potent skin irritant. PG could easily provoke skin irritation and sensitization at concentration as low as 2%. In fact U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a warning to avoid skin contact to prevent brain, liver, and kidney abnormalities. To be listed as the fourth abundant ingredient just worries me about how much of this harmful ingredient I would absorb from daily use.

There are indeed many noteworthy ingredients in it. For example rosa canina oil is rose hip oil which is richly moisturizing and could enhance the natural rebuild of skin cell.

This product does indeed may have some wrinkle rescue and anti-aging properties. Two ingredients, saccharum officinarum (Sugar cane) extract and sugar maple (Acer saccharum) extract are both rich in AHA, which provides moisturizing and anti-aging effect. AHAs is alpha hydroxy acid. AHAs exfoliate the surface skin by breaking up cell-connecting materials. As a result fresh and smoother skin is revealed. AHAs, including glycolic and lactic acid, are widely used to treat aged skin by normalizing thickened skin and increasing skin water content. But the exfoliating properties may also irritate skin. Overdose of AHAs may make users more sensitive to UV radiation. Always wear sunscreen when using AHA products.

In the same category the ingredient salicylic acid (Beta hydroxy acid, BHA) gently exfoliates the surface of skin and penetrates into the pore, and thus can exfoliate inside the pore as well as on the surface of the skin, which makes it effective for reducing blemishes, including blackheads and whiteheads. It also treats acnes due to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Salicylic acid can improve skin thickness, barrier functions, and collagen production.

The ingredient ginger root extract has long been used in Asian herbal therapy and is believed to have youth-renewing effect. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic activity when eaten. It is believed to act as antioxidant topically.

The claimed ingredient hydroxypropyl tetrahydropyrantriol (trade mark "Pro-Xylane") is shown to stimulate GAG synthesis, restoring water and nutrients to the dermal epidermal junction. GAG is short for glycosaminoglycans which are any of a group of compounds occurring chiefly as components of connective tissue. But according to enviromental working group (EWG), Pro-Xylane has not been assessed for safety in cosmetics by industry panel.

It would be better without the alcohol and fragrance content.
