I am very impressed with the herbal extracts in this product. These ingredients moisturize, prevent aging, and especially soothe the skin, even have slight anti-acne effect. So this product should be suitable for normal to oily skin.

For example the ingredient panax ginseng root extract may have potent antioxidant properties and may promote wound healing. It has well-recognized health benefits in herbal medicine. Another ingredient ginkgo biloba leaf extract has potent antioxidant and microcirculation-stimulating effect.

But on the down side, besides water and glycerin the third abundant ingredient is alcohol. Alcohol when in benign form they are glycols used as humectants that help deliver ingredients into skin. Alcohols with low molecular weight can be drying and irritating, even generate free-radical damage. This much alcohol causes concern for almost all skin types.

Another unsafe ingredient is daisy extract. It has no proven skin benefit. In fact topical application can cause severe contact dermatitis.

Safety alert: Cautious
review based on scientific information of the product ingredients.

oj_line is water.
2nd ingredient
glycerin transports water from the environment and from the lower layers of skin (dermis) to surface skin (epidermis). It softens the skin. Glycerin is a substance naturally present in skin which helps maintain the epidermis and prevent dryness or scaling.
3rd ingredient
alcohol when in benign form they are glycols used as humectants that help deliver ingredients into skin. Alcohols with low molecular weight can be drying and irritating. The skin-irritating forms of alcohol include ethanol, denatured alcohol, ethyl alcohol, methanol, benzyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, and sd alcohol. Not only can they be extremely drying and irritating to skin, but also can generate free-radical damage.

oenothera biennis (Evening Primrose) root extract has significant anti-inflammatory and emollient benefits for skin.
