It also stimulates collagen production therefore plays a role in wrinkle-reducing. Thirdly vitamin C has been proven to brighten the complexion and improve hyperpigmentation.
Other good ingredients include lactic acid (Alpha hydroxy acid, AHA). AHA exfoliates surface cells and reveals fresher new skin. But newly exfoliated skin is more sensitive to UV so keep in mind, always wear sunscreen.
