This is a good oil-control product.
The oil-control is achieved by large amount of silicone and absorbing ingredients. In fact the 2nd to 4th most abundant ingredients in this product are silicone. Silicone smoothes the complexion and minimizes the appearance of enlarged pores. But keep in mind the effect is temporary and large amount risks clogging pores.
Besides silicone there is corn starch which is absorbent and oil control agent in cosmetics, and magnesium carbonate which is the main component of chalk used as a drying agent.
The product has moderate anti-acne effect due to the tea tree oil content. But I would not count on this product to treat acne. This is more a cover-up product than a treatment.
The product is quite moisturizing. There are abundant amino acids content. Amino acids are building blocks of proteins. Even though the effect of topical use of amino acids is still under investigation, they are proven excellent water-binging moisturizing agents. In addition the ingredient chitosan ascorbate is the chitosan salt of the ascorbic acid (vitamin C). It functions as antioxidant (vitamin C), skin conditioning and film-forming agent. The structure of one of its main components, chitin, closely resembles that of mucopolysaccharides naturally found in skin whose function is to moisturize and lubricate. Thus, chitosan ascorbate hydrates by supplying water to the skin, avoiding dehydration through water retention and providing a protective film on the epidermis.
The SPF 15 is a nice to have. Even though it could be higher since SPF 30 is recommended for daily use.
