There is SPF 15 sun protection in this product. SPF 30 would be better for daily protection.
The thing of concern is that this product contains large amount of triethanolamine, as 6th abundant ingredient, even ahead of the effective ingredient retinol. Triethanolamine is used in cosmetics as a pH balancer. Like all amines, it has the potential for creating nitrosamines. Nitrosamines are readily absorbed through skin and they have been proved to be strong carcinogen. Whether or not the concentrations used in cosmetics should be of concern is still a matter of debate. Better avoid if possible. The longer it stays on the skin, the higher the risk.
There is significant antioxidant content that prevents the appearance of aging signs, such as wrinkles. Retinol is the primary naturally occurring form of vitamin A. Vitamin A is a cell-communicating factor that maintains the normal function of skin cells. It enhances dry or damaged skin by reducing flaking and restoring suppleness. Vitamin A is also potent antioxidant that prevents aging. Others include vitamin E and green tea extract.
The main moisturizing ingredients are glycerin and panthenol. Panthenol is a non-irritating, precursor form of Vitamin B. It can penetrate skin and transform into pantothenic acid (commonly known as Vitamin B5). Panthenol maintains skin water retention and treats minor irritation.
For the price this product is ok. But due to the presence of triethanolamine, I would not recommend it.
