There is SPF 15 sun protection in this product. SPF 30 would be better for daily protection.
Another reason to include sun protection is that there is a lot of glycolic acid in this product. Glycolic acid is alpha hydroxy acid (AHA). AHAs exfoliate the surface skin by breaking up cell-connecting materials. As a result fresh and smoother skin is revealed. AHAs, including glycolic and lactic acid, are widely used to treat aged skin by normalizing thickened skin and increasing skin water content. But the exfoliating properties may also irritate skin. Overdose of AHAs may make users more sensitive to UV radiation. Always wear sunscreen when using AHA products.
There is significant antioxidant content that prevents the appearance of aging signs, such as vitamin E, C and A.
The main moisturizing ingredients are glycerin and panthenol. Panthenol is a non-irritating, precursor form of Vitamin B. It can penetrate skin and transform into pantothenic acid (commonly known as Vitamin B5). Panthenol maintains skin water retention and treats minor irritation.
