Niacinamide (vitamin B3) increase fatty acid contents and prevent skin from dehydration, and improve microcirculation. It may also be a cell-communicating factor. According to Olay’s own research, this ingredient reduces the appearance of wrinkles, skin discolorations, less redness, a reduction in sallowness, and improved elasticity.

Besides that it also has a handful of amino acids in it. Amino acids are building blocks for proteins. The theory is that feeding amino acids will accelerate skin regeneration. Whether or not these ingredients can be stably delivered and execute their effects are not known. But amino acids are proven excellent water-binding agents.

The ingredient palmitoyl pentapeptide 3 has trade name Matrixyl, a fatty acid mixed with amino acids. It stimulates collagen, elastin and glucosaminoglycans synthesis. So they should help reduce wrinkles.

The product contains large amount of silicone therefore gives a great deal of slip on the skin. It also helps minimize the look of pores. But the smooth feeling is only temporary and overdose may cause pore-clogging.

Should not be used on injured skin because the product contains arnica montana extract which will cause significant irritation on abraded skin.
