The second abundant ingredient is ethylhexyl palmitate. As used as a solvent, carrying agent and emollient, it has a relatively high risk in inducing skin allergy and breakouts. The fact that there is so much of it in this product it may be problematic for every skin type.
The main moisturizing ingredient is aleurites moluccana seed oil (Kukui oil). The plant-derived oil is enriched with polyunsaturated fat. Kukui oil penetrates the stratum corneum (outermost layer of skin) and maintains skin water barrier. Therefore it prevents skin water loss and softens the skin.
The ingredient DMAE has only reported to prevent aging based on a small study by Dr.Perricone himself, the manufacturer of the brand. So the claims are not solidly supported.
However there are quite a lot of fragrance. Overall I consider this is an "ok" moisturizer. Just ok.
