The main acne-control ingredient in here, benzoyl peroxide, is one of the most effective OTC antibacterial treatment for blemishes and acnes. It is able to penetrate into pores to eliminate the acne-causing bacteria.
Another acne-control ingredient, tea tree oil, has antibacterial properties that are effective against acne-causing bacteria. The effect may even be better than benzoyl peroxide and less irritating. But in this product it is listed as one of the last ingredients so that it may not be concentrated enough to be effective.
This product should only be used by oily skin because benzoyl peroxide can be very irritaing and drying.
