This product is rich in lactic acid, AHAs. AHA is alpha hydroxy acid. AHAs exfoliate the surface skin by breaking up cell-connecting materials. As a result fresh and smoother skin is revealed. AHAs, including glycolic and lactic acid, are widely used to treat aged skin by normalizing thickened skin and increasing skin water content. But the exfoliating properties may also irritate skin. Overdose of AHAs may make users more sensitive to UV radiation.

There are lots of anti-oxidants to prevent first signs of aging. Also the product is quite soothing.

But the fifth abundant ingredient is sodium hydroxide. Used as a pH balancer, sodium hydroxide is a strong chemical that is severely irritating to skin and can cause burning sensation. Stop use if any adverse reaction occurs.
