The name “When hope is not enough” seems to imply that this will be better than “Hope in a jar”…maybe my expectation is too high.
I am not saying in any ways that this product is not good. It is a decent moisturizer in each aspect, i.e., moisturizing, anti-oxidant and anti-irritating. I just hoped for more.
What concerns me is that triethanolamine, a potential carcinogen, appeared early in the ingredient list. Triethanolamine (TEA) by itself is not dangerous, but it can react with other ingredients in the formula and turn into nitrosodiethanolamine (NDEA). NDEA is readily absorbed through skin and it is associated with many types of cancers. So TEA is suggested to only exist in rinse off products or just avoid products that have it.
