I am torn with this toner. After reviewed all its ingrdients I am not surprised users either really love it or hate it.

On one hand there are lots of asian botanical soothing ingredients such as angelica acutiloba root extract and coix lacryma jobi seed extract. So this toner would calm inflamed and slightly sun-burnt skin. But, on ther other hand the second abundant ingredient is alcohol. Alcohol when in benign form are glycols used as humectants that help deliver ingredients into skin. That's why this toner will feel "penetrating and easily absorbed". But alcohols can be drying and irritating. Not only can they be extremely drying and irritating to skin, but also can generate free-radical damage.

Plus I'd rather they haven't put in fragrance.

1st ingredient		is water.
2nd ingredient		is alcohol. When in benign form they are glycols used as humectants that help deliver ingredients into skin. Alcohols with low molecular weight can be drying and irritating. The skin-irritating forms of alcohol include ethanol, denatured alcohol, ethyl alcohol, methanol, benzyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, and sd alcohol. Not only can they be extremely drying and irritating to skin, but also can generate free-radical damage.
3rd ingredient		glycerin transports water from the environment and from the lower layers of skin (dermis) to surface skin (epidermis). It softens the skin. Glycerin is a substance naturally present in skin which helps maintain the epidermis and prevent dryness or scaling.
4th ingredient		angelica acutiloba root extract is also known as Dang Gui. It has long been used in Asian herbal medicine since it stimulates blood circulation and enhances Chi/Qi. It is used in cosmetics mainly for its anti-inflammatory properties. It may also be effective anti-oxidant and anti-acne agent.
