True to its name, this product is extremely moisturizing with vaseline and olive oil, which means oily skin should steer away. But then there is nothing more to talk about.

It falls short in terms of anti-oxidant content which is very important for age prevention. Also don’t use it on abraded skin because the arnica montana flower extract ingredient can be very irritating to injured skin.

Like all Sisley products, I found the high price hard to justify. There are cheaper alternatives around to consider.

Safety alert: Cautious
review based on scientific information of the product ingredients.

1st ingredient
oj_line is water.
2nd ingredient
petrolatum is vaseline. Petrolatum helps skin recover from damage, reduce inflammation, and protect skin against environment.
3rd ingredient
propylene glycol is a humectant or humidifying and delivering ingredient used in cosmetics. But it has the potential to provoke skin irritation and sensitization at concentration as low as 2%.
4th ingredient
squalane is oil derived from shark liver or from olives. It is a natural moisturizing factor that has antioxidant and immune-stimulating properties.

Soothing
Echinacea angustifolia (coneflower) extract

Illness
oj_line Contains triethanolamine. Triethanolamine is used in cosmetics as a pH balancer. Like all amines, it has the potential for creating nitrosamines. Nitrosamines are readily absorbed through skin and they have been proved to be strong carcinogen. Whether or not the concentrations used in cosmetics should be of concern is still a matter of debate. Better avoid if possible.
Skin irritation
Contains arnica montana flower extract, which may help wound-healing but is a significant skin irritant. Should not be used on damaged skin.
Fragrance
Should be avoided by people who are allergic to fragrance.
